Menopause Treatment

Menopause is a stage in every woman’s life in which she undergoes intense hormonal changes while her body is adapting to this natural process. Because her body produces less estrogen and progesterone, she experiences several symptoms that are often uncomfortable with long durations.

Common symptoms include:

  • Weight gain
  • Loss of sexual interest
  • Depression
  • Headach and migraines
  • Hot flashes
  • Sweating
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Palpitations.

Natural hormone therapy can reduce the occurrence of such symptoms while easing the transition for women. We evaluate our patients’ health throughout the stages of menopause by reviewing medical tests from female specialists and conducting hormonal tests of our own. From this data, we can implement a program that is specially suited to your unique needs.

Women who are going through menopause and would like to become patients of Dr. Tsadok should first read the Consultations section of this website. Some other requirements we have for menopausal women include:

  • Maintaining regularly scheduled visits to a medical doctor who specializes in female health issues. These professionals may be gynecologists, family practitioners or nurse practitioners. We require patients to start or continuing seeing a specialist in order to keep up-to-date records of examinations and tests.
  • Maintaining annual breast exams and vaginal exams.
  • Maintaining regular bone density evaluations within three years of each test. It is also important to keep up with blood and urine testing to gauge your hormone levels. For your convenience, our office can arrange such tests when the time is right.
  • Scheduling consultations with Dr. Tsadok at least on a yearly basis so that he can monitor your progress of the hormonal treatment. During these consultations, he may alter your program to accommodate your changing needs.

Provided your health is at an appropriate level, Dr. Tsadok will most likely start you on a therapy program involving bioidentical hormones from your very first visit. This treatment is a type of hormone replacement therapy and requires a varying amount of follow-up appointments based on your personal needs. The goal of these programs is to balance your body’s hormone levels throughout the stages of menopause in order to improve your overall health and reduce the frequency and intensity of symptoms. Additional appointments are shorter than the initial visit, and Dr. Tsadok uses them to assess your body’s responses to the hormones. If there are any other factors affecting your health, he will make changes to your program and ask for more time and possibly appointments from you. Other factors may include stress, infections and additional ailments.

As part of Dr. Tsadok’s belief system, your symptoms may be caused by any number of lifestyle factors. He will address issues like your nutritional intake, the amount of exercise you receive and your general stress level. Non-physical factors also play a major role in your health, so Dr. Tsadok may ask you about your feelings, thoughts and important choices in your life. Working with these mental issues will help with the healing process. Based on the information you share with Dr. Tsadok, he may also help you find a practitioner who is well-suited for your needs.

If you have any questions prior to your first visit with Dr. Tsadok, you can contact him by telephone to discuss your concerns. Email Dr. Tsadok to schedule a pre-consultation phone call by clicking here.
